Twitter Introduces new Features for Businesses
Twitter announced three new features for all companies. In July, selected brands they were informing via the profile page when they are most responsive on the platform. Now, the feature is rolling out to all companies.
Twitter’s new updates, includes a larger Direct Message Button which makes it easier for users to know if the business they follow provides support and when they are most active on the platform.
To enable this feature, all you need to do is to visit Twitter’s Customer support settings and select the option that lets any Twitter user to send you Direct Messages. If you also want people know that you provide support when they search on Twitter, you need to tick Support Account.
Provides Support
You can add “Provides Support” notation to your account. As said by Twitter:
“Businesses can now indicate that they provide support, which adds that information to suggestions when people search for a business, @mention a business in a Tweet, or find a business in Direct Messages,”
Most Responsive
Twitter lets you share the hours when you are most responsive:
“Businesses can display hours of availability on their profile to help set people’s expectations for when they are likely to reply.”
Bigger Direct Message Button
Companies will also be benefited by a large Direct Message button. This makes it clear to users that business can provide any support via private messaging.
